The UAE sends 32 tons of additional aid to Sudan
The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has continued its humanitarian efforts to assist Sudan by sending additional aid of 32 tons to conflict-hit areas of Sudan. The aid will provide relief to 13,000 people in the country. His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Prime Minister and Vice President of the UAE as well as the Ruler of Dubai sent directives to the officials to help vulnerable people in Sudan, and the aid was sent under his directives to alleviate the suffering of the Sudanese people.
Earlier, the UAE and the World Health Organization had sent 30 tons of medical supplies worth $444,000 to Sudan, which included trauma, emergency surgical supplies, and essential medicines. The health facilities in the country were reported to have run out of basic health supplies, and national medical stores were no longer accessible due to the security situation. The dispatch of the aircraft was part of the UAE's continuous relief efforts to help the Sudanese people and its commitment to assisting others during crises and emergency situations. The UAE has also sent three aid planes carrying 115 tonnes of medical and food supplies to Sudan and Chad to help Sudanese refugees and displaced people.
