US lauds UAE for Sudan evacuation and engagement in diplomatic efforts

The US State Department recently took to Twitter to express its gratefulness towards the United Arab Emirates for helping in Sudan evacuations and their "invaluable engagement" in the diplomatic efforts.

Since April 15 when tensions between rival parties in Sudan transformed into an ongoing violent conflict, the UAE has been constantly monitoring the situation there and calling on all parties involved to return to positive discussions.

Apart from the US, several other countries like Japan have also lauded the Mideast nation for its support towards Sudan evacuations. Additionally, the UAE also intends to host evacuees of 19 different nationalities before they are flown back to their home countries.
