Elon Musk Has Earned More Wealth Than Jeff Bezos, Bernard Arnault & Bill Gates Combined This Year

 

Elon Musk, the richest tech billionaire, became the world's first individual to lose $200 billion in net worth in 2022, while simultaneously losing the title of world’s richest person to Louis Vuitton Group CEO Bernard Arnault.

This year, the tech billionaire has seen the tables turn in his favour. Just a week after Elon Musk celebrated his 52nd birthday, he has reclaimed the title of world’s richest person again. 

So far, Elon Musk’s net worth has increased more than the next three richest people in the world have earned in total this year. Musk’s net worth alone is more than the combined net worth of Jeff Bezos, Bernard Arnault and Bill Gates.

Tesla stock has increased by more than 150 per cent this year, helping Musk to add $110 billion to his net worth. The $110 billion increase in Musk’s net worth is more than the next three richest people in the world have earned combined.

Tesla, an American multinational automotive and clean energy company, is owned by Musk. Elon Musk, Martin Eberhard, JB Straubel, Marc Tarpenning, and Ian Wright are the founders of Tesla. Musk has been the CEO of Tesla since 2008. 

Bernard Arnault, the founder and CEO of LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton, the world's largest luxury goods company, has added $37.3 billion to his net worth so far this year. Jeff Bezos, the founder, executive chairman, and former president and CEO of Amazon, has added $47.6 billion so far this year. Bill Gates, an American business magnate, investor, and philanthropist, has added $24.7 billion this year till date. Combining the jumps in net worth of these three turns out to be $109.6 billion, which is still less than the $110 billion increase earned by Musk alone this year.
