Neuralink: FDA approves Elon Musk’s plans to implant a computer in people’s brain

Elon Musk's brain-chip firm says it has received approval from the US Food and Drugs Administration (FDA) to conduct its first tests on humans. The Neuralink implant company wants to help restore vision and mobility to people by linking brains to computers.

The aim of the study is to help patients with severe paralysis control external technologies using only neural signals.

The implant, called the Link, is designed to link brains to computers and help restore vision and mobility to people.
