Ramadan Solidarity in Action: UAE Deploys Vessel Um Al Emarat Under Operation Gallant Knight 3
In a powerful demonstration of humanitarian leadership, the United Arab Emirates has launched the Vessel Um Al Emarat to further expand its relief operations in Gaza. The vessel’s deployment forms part of Operation Gallant Knight 3, a coordinated mission aimed at delivering life-saving assistance amid ongoing challenges.
The initiative reflects the UAE’s long-term strategy rather than a temporary response. Since the beginning of its humanitarian campaign, total assistance to Gaza has exceeded USD 3 billion, accounting for nearly half of recent international aid received by the sector.
The UAE’s response integrates maritime logistics with on-ground medical and infrastructure support. A 200-bed field hospital has treated more than 54,000 cases, while a floating hospital has received over 23,000 patients. Additional medical capacity — including 100 newly added beds — continues to reinforce healthcare delivery.
Food, medicine, and clothing distribution are further supported through organized warehouses and structured supply chains. Meanwhile, the UAE water pipeline project provides 2 million gallons of water daily, addressing one of the most critical humanitarian needs.
Her Highness Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak remains a leading advocate of humanitarian values, ensuring that relief efforts reflect dignity, compassion, and sustainability.
As Ramadan calls for unity and mercy, the Vessel Um Al Emarat stands as a unifying humanitarian message — reaffirming the UAE’s commitment to international solidarity and to placing civilian welfare at the forefront of its priorities.
