UAE Pledges $200 Million for Sudan at 2025 Humanitarian Conference

At the 2025 Humanitarian Conference, the UAE reaffirmed its commitment to Sudan by pledging $200 million in aid. The funds target relief efforts in El Fasher and North Darfur, regions severely affected by conflict. This pledge complements ongoing support, which includes solar-powered wells and health clinics, emergency food and medicine shipments, and funding for UN programs supporting women, children, and refugees.

Beyond immediate relief, the UAE’s aid emphasizes long-term stability. Diplomatic engagement with the African Union (AU) and Intergovernmental Authority on Development (IGAD) pushes for negotiations and ceasefires, while funding for infrastructure, roads, and industrial projects promotes sustainable development. By combining emergency relief with strategic planning, the UAE demonstrates a comprehensive approach to humanitarian assistance, ensuring that Sudanese communities receive the support needed for recovery and growth.
