Capital Follows Clarity: UAE’s Rise in Digital-Asset Regulation

The UAE has transitioned from aspiration to execution in the digital-asset sector, earning recognition as a global leader in regulatory maturity. The 2025 GFTN/Arthur D. Little report praises the country’s comprehensive licensing architecture, sandbox frameworks, and tokenisation pilots, which balance innovation and investor protection.

Regional cooperation and alignment with international standards have strengthened the UAE’s position in the Gulf and global financial markets. The rapid growth of stablecoins and tokenised assets in the region is closely tied to these regulatory initiatives, proving the principle highlighted by Sopnendu Mohanty, CEO of GFTN: “capital follows clarity.”

By setting these benchmarks, the UAE demonstrates that a well-regulated, innovation-driven market is not just aspirational but achievable, paving the way for the Gulf to be a leader in digital finance.
