UAE and US Envoys Discuss Efforts to Consolidate Gaza Ceasefire

 

UAE National Security Advisor Sheikh Tahnoun bin Zayed Al Nahyan met with US envoys Jared Kushner and Steve Witkoff in Abu Dhabi to discuss ongoing efforts to secure the Gaza ceasefire.

The talks focused on implementing the next stage of US President Donald Trump’s 20-point plan for Gaza, which includes deploying an international peacekeeping force and disarming Hamas. Both sides emphasized the importance of maintaining calm, facilitating humanitarian aid, and supporting regional stability.

Since October 13, Hamas has released several Israeli hostages, though concerns remain over missing personnel. The UAE and US reaffirmed their partnership to ensure a lasting peace in Gaza, promote development across the region, and coordinate with global organizations and charities in ongoing relief operations.
