Taylor Swift’s ‘The Fate of Ophelia’ Sets Spotify Record in 12.5 Days
Taylor Swift has once again made music history. Her latest single “The Fate of Ophelia” from the critically acclaimed album “The Life of a Showgirl” has become the fastest song to reach 200 million Spotify streams, doing so in just 12.5 days.
The record surpasses Miley Cyrus’s “Flowers” from 2023, setting a new global benchmark for streaming success. Swift’s album debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200, earning 4.002 million units, including 3.2 million in pure sales — marking the largest opening week since 1956.
All 12 tracks from the album have dominated U.S. streaming charts for 2025 releases. Meanwhile, “The Fate of Ophelia” has also topped global rankings, giving Swift her first-ever No. 1 hits in Denmark and Greece.
With this milestone, Taylor Swift continues to affirm her status as one of the most influential and unstoppable forces in modern music.
