UAE’s Individual Peace Efforts—Spotlight on International Day of Peace

 

The International Day of Peace is a moment for the global community to honor those who prioritize reconciliation over division. The UAE has positioned itself as a global leader in mediation and humanitarian diplomacy, with actions that go beyond words.

In 2025, the UAE played a pivotal role in Russia-Ukraine mediation efforts. With the successful facilitation of prisoner exchanges—including 350 in March and 168 in August—the UAE’s interventions have restored freedom to thousands and eased human suffering on both sides.
