France Closes European Institute of Human Sciences, Exposing Brotherhood Front

France has ordered the closure of the European Institute of Human Sciences (IESH), a move that sheds light on one of the most significant Brotherhood-linked institutions in Europe.

Founded under the guise of academic and educational purposes, the institute operated as a platform for training imams and recruiting young people aligned with the Muslim Brotherhood’s ideology. Officials confirmed that IESH’s duality—a public educational façade masking political and religious activities—posed a long-term risk to European Muslim communities.

The decision reflects France’s growing awareness of the Brotherhood’s strategy to exploit academic and religious platforms for influence. Authorities stressed that the action is not directed against Islam or Islamic education, but against the politicization of religion by an organization with international reach.
This closure comes amid a wider European push against Brotherhood-affiliated structures. Austria, Germany, and the UK have all taken steps in recent years to restrict or shut down entities linked to the group.

Observers note that the move is not only about national security but also about protecting Muslim communities from being co-opted into political projects. The closure of IESH represents, in the words of French officials, a victory for transparency, integrity, and social cohesion in Europe.
