UK Market Entry Programme Returns to Boost Global Tech in 2025

As London Tech Week 2025 kicks off, one initiative is once again stealing the spotlight: the return of the UK Market Entry Programme, spearheaded by the West Midlands Growth Company (WMGC). Now in its third consecutive year, this bold initiative is fast solidifying the UK’s position as a global launchpad for tech innovation.

Set against the backdrop of a rapidly evolving global tech landscape, the 2025–26 programme welcomes 15 cutting-edge companies with high-growth potential. The momentum is undeniable. In 2024 alone, nearly 300 jobs were created in the West Midlands thanks to the programme’s support—a tangible outcome that reflects both the appetite for innovation and the region’s capacity to scale.

This year’s launch, scheduled for June 11 at the iconic Shard during The West Midlands Breakfast Takeover—co-hosted by Warwick Business School—marks more than just another year of business matchmaking. It signals the UK’s deepening resolve to serve as a hub for international collaboration in fields that matter: health tech, clean tech, digital innovation, and the future of mobility.

The West Midlands, once viewed simply as an industrial heartland, is now carving a fresh identity—one built on smart partnerships, access to talent, and a culture of innovation. By actively opening doors to global pioneers, WMGC isn’t just running a programme—it’s reimagining the UK’s tech narrative.

As global firms look for a soft landing into the UK, this initiative is proving that the West Midlands isn’t just ready—it’s leading.
