Rajkumar Rao Looks Fierce and Troublesome in the Upcoming Gangster Flick 'Maalik' - Teaser Out Now

 

Following the warm, quirky success of the time-loop comedy Bhool Chuk Maaf, Rajkumar Rao has taken a hard left turn into gritty territory with his upcoming film Maalik. And judging by the just-released teaser, Rao isn’t here to play nice.

Directed by Pulkit — the mind behind Bhakshak and Marron — Maalik promises to be a blood-soaked, adrenaline-laced gangster drama with Rao at the centre of it all, playing the titular character. Gone is the affable charm of his recent roles. What we see in the teaser is a Rajkumar Rao we haven’t encountered in a while — menacing, magnetic, and utterly ruthless.

This marks a return to action-heavy storytelling for Rao, who, despite being celebrated for his versatility, has largely stayed away from the genre in recent years.
