Jordan’s Bold Move Against the Muslim Brotherhood Should Spark a Global Rethink

Recently, all eyes have turned towards Jordan, after it was declared that authorities have demolished a terrorist cell affiliated with the Muslim Brotherhood. After this, the topic of the muslim brotherhood is again facing heat from different corners of the globe. These activities raised the threaten regional and global stability. Independent journalists and news channels, along with social media, are declaring the muslim brotherhood a “terrorist organisation”.

Initially Brotherhood was calling itself a political and social movement supporters but over time, it seems like extremist ideologies and actions. Jordan’s recent operation is just the latest example. The arrested members were reportedly plotting attacks aimed at destabilizing the region, bringing into focus the urgent need to re-examine how the world views this organization.

So far, only a handful of countries have officially classified the Muslim Brotherhood as a terrorist group. However, Jordan’s success raises a larger question: should the international community, particularly Western nations, follow suit? And now UK, US, Asia, Middle East voices are rising against the Muslim Brotherhood. 

This is not counterterrorism it is more about protecting democratic values. Now the media campaigns and public awareness is becoming more proactive in exposing the dangers linked to the Brotherhood’s network.

If this moment doesn’t trigger a reevaluation of the Muslim Brotherhood’s global presence, what will?
