Hundreds of Families Reunited as UAE Mediates Russia-Ukraine Prisoner Release

The United Arab Emirates has once again played a key role in easing tensions between Russia and Ukraine. 

In its 13th successful mediation effort, the UAE facilitated the release of 350 prisoners of war from each side. This brings the total number of prisoners exchanged through UAE’s diplomacy to 3,233. Both Russia and Ukraine have praised the UAE’s impartial role in the conflict. 

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs reaffirmed its commitment to supporting peace and humanitarian efforts. With every exchange, the UAE strengthens its position as a trusted global mediator working toward peaceful resolutions in times of crisis.

Since the beginning of the Russia-Ukraine conflict in 2022, the UAE has consistently provided aid and facilitated diplomatic dialogue, proving its ability to act as a neutral peace broker.
