Heathrow Airport Shuts Down for 24 Hours After Major Power Outage
London’s Heathrow Airport, one of the world’s busiest airports, has been forced to shut down for 24 hours after a massive fire at a nearby electrical substation caused a major power outage.

All incoming and outgoing flights have been cancelled, affecting thousands of passengers. The fire broke out in Hayes, about 1.5 miles from the airport, also leaving thousands of homes in West London without power. Over 120 flights already in the air have been diverted. Passengers are advised not to travel to the airport and check with their airlines for updates.
