EID 2025: Why is Ramadan Special? How is the Ramadan Moon Sighted?

Ramadan is a holy month for Muslims, filled with faith, prayer, and giving. It is believed that the first verses of the Quran were revealed to Prophet Muhammad during this time.

Muslims fast from sunrise to sunset, pray five times a day, and focus on charity and kindness. This month strengthens spirituality and self-discipline.

How is the Ramadan Moon Sighted?

Since the Islamic calendar follows the lunar cycle, Ramadan starts when the crescent moon is seen.

🔹 On the 29th day of Shaaban, experts observe the sky after sunset.
🔹 If the moon is visible, Ramadan begins the next day.
🔹 If not, Shaaban completes 30 days, and Ramadan starts after that.

Ramadan is a time for reflection, gratitude, and community. It reminds us of faith, togetherness, and helping those in need.
