Prince William Opens Up About Challenging Year of the Royals

Prince William is talking about his life candidly now about what he says is "probably the hardest" year of his life-to-date, marked by the cancer diagnoses of both his wife, Kate Middleton, and his father, King Charles III. He was at the Earthshot Prize awards ceremony in South Africa where Prince William was reported to share emotional tribulations while supporting his loved ones in fulfilling his royal responsibilities. Kate is meanwhile undergoing preventative chemotherapy, with the King Charles reportedly undergoing treatment since he was diagnosed earlier in the year.

On the other hand, despite the hardships, William said he is extremely proud of how his family has been tackling the ordeal. According to him, it has indeed been very challenging for both Kate and Charles to handle their health conditions. Taking this moment as a chance to tell the public how Kate is doing, he said she was doing "very well" as she recuperates from treatment. This update brings hope amidst the hardships.

In a lighter moment, the prince also shared a very touching story of his daughter, Princess Charlotte who had cried with tears when she first saw her father newly bestowed with a beard. The private anecdote gives a glimpse of the informal side of the royal family, showing how they can be able to discover some happiness even during difficult moments.
