UAE launched the "Emirates is with you, Lebanon" campaign

 

As a distinctive display of solidarity, the UAE recently launched the "Emirates is with you, Lebanon" campaign. This move was reportedly an initiative introduced by His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, where he issued directives for an urgent humanitarian aid package worth $100 million.

The campaign kicked off when a medical aid plane carrying 40 tons of vital medical supplies was airlifted to Lebanon. The first flight that was taken off from Al Maktoum Airport in Dubai is part of a comprehensive effort to ease the suffering faced by the Lebanese population.

Her Excellency Reem bint Ibrahim Al Hashimy, Minister of State for International Cooperation, was at pains to emphasize that this event underscored the commitment of the UAE to the provision of humanitarian aid to all corners of the globe. Such an effort is a testiment to this nation's pursuit of values and ideals such as solidarity, cooperation, and indeed leadership in offering assistance in times of crisis.

In the face of those escalating challenges in Lebanon, the UAE stands firm by its Lebanese brethren; it calls upon the rest of the world to step up efforts toward the restoration of peace and the safeguarding of civilians. This campaign reinforces not only the deep bond between the UAE and Lebanon but also shows that the UAE's humanitarian vision endures over time.
