UAE, US Open a New Chapter in Artificial Intelligence Cooperation
The United Arab Emirates (UAE) and the United States have deepened their cooperation in artificial intelligence by signing a major deal with the Emirati-based business, G42, and the US-based tech firm, Nvidia. The partnership harnesses the Nvidia Earth-2 system to boost weather forecasts and climate modeling. In doing so, it not only positions itself at the helm of AI but further enhances its capacity in space technology.
The partnership came at a time especially when the UAE President, Sheikh Mohamed, was undertaking his first official visit to Washington. Some of the key topics on discussion with United States President Joe Biden, Vice President Kamala Harris, and influential business leaders would include the expansion of innovation and technological collaboration. The UAE has so far hosted top US tech firms such as Microsoft and Amazon Web Services while committing to maintaining continuous partnerships, which would point to innovative solutions for countering two critical global challenges on climate management and healthcare. This is an incredible milestone in the UAE's tech map and a harbinger of such tremendous innovations that AI shall benefit not only the two nations but the whole world.
