X sets new traffic record, beats out Facebook and Instagram in June

Elon Musk's platform X had reached an incredible milestone, surpassing both Facebook and Instagram in terms of global traffic for June, according to data from traffic monitoring site Similarweb. All in all, there were 13.14 billion visitors from all parts of the world using X during the month—way higher compared to 12.44 billion on Facebook and 5.798 billion on Instagram.
The company's fast track to this milestone indicates the tremendous traction it has built up against a competitive social media setting. A tweet from Musk recently celebrated the event, drawing considerable attention to it as an omen of increased impact that X is likely to have on a global audience.
The data shows swings in user engagement and preference toward X, an obvious leading force within the social media sphere. It will be interesting to see just how this platform manages to both retain and further its newfound position over time as it continues to grow and on-board new users.
