UAE's Role in Global Humanitarian Efforts on World Humanitarian Day

Every 19th day of August, the world comes together to celebrate the heroes behind humanitarian work. On this World Humanitarian Day, we want to focus on real hero, UAE a country known for its amazing contributions to global humanitarian causes. This year it has a special theme known as, 'Act For Humanity,' it simply manifests well the spirit of compassion and the spirit of serving those in distress that characterizes the UAE.From written statements, one can see that the initiatives taken by the UAE from emergency response all the way to sustainable development are totally amazing. If at all there had to be any instances, it would be in the form of huge aid to conflict areas like Sudan and Turkiye, where the UAE took quick action for distributing support in times of crisis.

Another instance of this is the fact that the UAE established the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives in 2015 to underlie the UAE's devotion to long term solutions oriented at global challenges.The innovation is also infused into the UAE's humanitarian framework, evidenced in initiatives like the UAE Food Bank and Water Aid Foundation. These not only provide relief to people in distress but also enable the flowering of resilience within the affected populations.

As we celebrate World Humanitarian Day, let us remember and appreciate that the UAE is continuously laboring to reinforce human brotherhood and light a pathway to foster hope for a better tomorrow.
