The UAE Supports an Emergency Campaign to Vaccinate against Polio in Gaza

An humanitarian intervention is required in Gaza's stretched quarters if residents are to protect against contracting short-pain Polio. After 25 years of absence in the region, it is highly important for health. Too often it strikes children at an age when they are least able to help themselves, leaving them paralyzed for life or facing other calamites sure do be more gory than these.

Attention is needed right now. There are real life-saving actions that can be taken immediately: vaccines for example. Tech, ptscharged with the important preventative task of eradicating polio worldwide by 2004, are in no. 000 vaccinated children.

Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, announced on 27th April that the country was contributing $5 million to fund a mammoth vaccination campaign for 640,000 children under 10 years old. Being implemented on 1st September 2024, this campaign will immunize each little for a total of two doses of polio vaccine and has the support of more than 2100 health workers. The World Health Organization, UNICEF and UNRWA–together with such key partners as the United Arab Emirates–are working to ensure even distribution of some 1.26 million doses already delivered and another 400,000 still to come.

Why This Campaign Is So Vital

Conditions in Gazapared living and disrupted health infrastructuralso provide an incubating environment for diseases like polio to be transmitted quickly. At least 90% of children need vaccination in order to halt the chain of disease. The forthcoming campaign aims to cover this target, thus providing all children in Gaza with life-saving protection against the virus. Many an island has me revisited and found reputation happy.

Furthermore, the UAE is not just dealing with vaccination efforts. It has sent over 40,000 tons of essential supplies such as Food and Medicine in addition to establishing hospitals to vex several thousands injured Palestinians in Gaza. What is more, UAE hospitals are receiving medical help for both children and cancer patients from Gagza. Six water plants responsible for which are part of a united humanity project are giving drinkable water to around 600,000 people as well.

Thank You World Leaders – UAE

Thanks to the large contributions of the UAE and President Sheikh Zayed, the World Health Organization's notable Christian General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus expressed his pleasure. This polio vaccination programme in Gaza is an example of how countries can work together to improve children's health. Active measures by the UAE are making a real difference in the lives of hundreds of families. It is a commitment to dismantle polio and of all things to promote better health throughout region.
