Hollywood Loves A Happy Ending. But Has It Really Got One This Time?

It’s unlikely that Hollywood actors, studios, and streaming services will sign a deal on Wednesday that will bring back full production. That should take many months, at most.

However, the tentative agreement means that the over six months of labor unrest that have engulfed Hollywood are coming to an end and that many workers may soon resume their jobs.

With this agreement, which both parties claim has unique clauses, well-known franchises like “Deadpool” and “The Last of Us” will be one step closer to making a comeback on screen.

Happy endings are a favorite of Hollywood. Though there’s still a chance for strike sequels in the coming months, the actors’ strike pact may demonstrate that.

There are no longer any picket lines, and the only protests that are planned are joyous ones. Nonetheless, before the agreement is finalized, a few things must occur.

The agreement was examined and approved by the Screen Actors Guild-American Federation of Television and Radio Artists national board on Friday. Members of the guild as a whole will now cast votes on it.
