US Adds New Chinese Companies To Uyghur Forced Labor Prevention Act Entity List

The US has banned imports from three more Chinese companies, as it cracks down on the use of forced labor of the Asian nation’s minority Uyghur population in the U.S. supply chain.

Xinjiang Tianmian Foundation Textile Co Ltd, Xinjiang Tianshan Wool Textile Co Ltd and Xinjiang Zhongtai Group Co Ltd were added to the Uyghur Forced Labor Prevention Act Entity List.

The three companies are based in Xinjiang — involved in the production and sale of textile products, building materials and wool garments, among other items.

China denies the accusations, however the United States maintains they are being arbitrarily imprisoned and subjected to forced sterilization, torture and labor as well as draconian restrictions on freedom of religion, expression and movement.
