4 Astronauts Splash Down Off Florida Coast After SpaceX Mission

 

Sultan Al Neyadi from the UAE, along with NASA’s Stephen Bowen and Warren “Woody” Hoburg, and Andrey Fedyaev from Russia’s Roscosmos, have successfully concluded their first long-duration mission on the International Space Station (ISS).

The quartet completed their 186-day mission as flight engineers for Expeditions 68 and 69 and returned to Earth aboard SpaceX’s Dragon spacecraft, named “Endeavour,” which splashed down in the Atlantic Ocean off Jacksonville, Florida, at 12:17 am EDT on September 4.

The mission, which commenced on March 2, marked a historic achievement for the crew. Stephen Bowen, the only one with prior spaceflight experience, expressed his sentiments during a farewell ceremony held aboard the ISS on August 31, stating, ‘This has been an absolutely incredible experience.
