SPIEF 2023: Sheikh Mohamed holds talks with Putin in St Petersburg, seeks stronger ties

 

Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, held talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin on the sidelines of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF) 2023. 

The two leaders discussed ways to strengthen economic, trade, and investment ties between their countries. They also exchanged views on regional and global issues of mutual interest, including the situation in the Middle East and North Africa. 

Sheikh Mohamed praised Russia's role in maintaining regional stability and expressed his country's keenness to deepen its cooperation with Russia across various sectors. Putin welcomed Sheikh Mohamed's visit and emphasized the strategic importance of relations with the UAE.
