Explosive Report Reveals Boris Johnson’s Allies Engaged in Coordinated Campaign to Undermine Democracy

Allies of UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson were involved in a "coordinated campaign" to disrupt an investigation into Johnson's pandemic lockdown-breaching parties.

The report named seven Conservative Members of Parliament and one lord, the Tory minister Zac Goldsmith, as having interfered with the probe. The panel accused them of calling the investigation a "witch hunt" and the panel a "kangaroo court."

The committee recommended that MPs consider whether their actions could be considered contempt of Parliament, which can lead to suspension.

The Privileges Committee also found that Boris Johnson repeatedly lied to parliament about the matter and suggested a 90-day suspension.
