Alcoa and Emirates Global Aluminium sign 8-year alumina supply agreement


Alcoa Corporation and Emirates Global Aluminium (EGA) have signed an eight-year agreement under which Alcoa will supply EGA with bauxite from its mines in Guinea, and EGA will supply alumina to Alcoa from its refineries in the UAE.

The agreement will help secure the supply of raw materials for aluminium production and create a long-term framework for cooperation between the companies. Both companies have committed to sustainable practices, and the agreement is expected to contribute to reducing carbon emissions and combatting climate change.
